Why Star Wars works for mixed ages

Most family themes fall apart at the ends: there is no baby version of the villain, or no adult version of the cute one. Star Wars covers the whole spread. Baby and toddler: Grogu from 0-6 months to 3T-4T

The Toddler Star Wars The Mandalorian Grogu Costume ($37.99 at time of writing) is the one in our photo and the item we keep the most of in the whole Star Wars line. It includes a robe and a fabric character headpiece in "soft, comfortable polyester," sized 3T-4T. For babies, the Baby Star Wars The Mandalorian Grogu Costume ($51.99) comes in 0-6, 6-12, and 12-18 months and includes "tunic, pants, headpiece, and pair of booties with no-slip grip bottoms" in beige polyester. Those grip-bottom booties are the difference between a baby costume and a baby costume you can actually let a new walker wear.

If the toddler would rather be the bounty hunter than the bounty, the Toddler Mandalorian in 3T-4T ($37.99) is a padded jumpsuit, cape, and felt-backed fabric headpiece, and it hand washes.

Kids: Mandalorian, Darth Vader, Boba Fett

The Kids Star Wars The Mandalorian Light-Up Costume ($86.99) is the showpiece: a "padded jumpsuit with light up feature," a cape, and a molded mask, in Small 4-7. The page does not go into what lights up or how it is powered, so we will leave that to the box. The Adult Qualux Star Wars Darth Vader Costume ($101.99) is the heavier-fabric suit for the parent who wants to look the part: jumpsuit, cape, and molded mask in black printed polyester, hand wash in cold water. It comes in two jacket ranges, 36-38 and Extra Large 44-47, so measure before you order.
